A series of opto-kinetic works each constructed from acrylic lenses, a controlled motor and a back-lit pattern.

The Op Art movement combined multiple disciplines to discuss an emerging type of neurological spectacle, using the engine of sight to power their kinetic drawings, revealing time to be a sensation and not always a sequence. The artwork Optical Rail employs the visual distortion of moving lenses to decrypt a layer of time within static images, transliterating the motionless into the motion-ful. The lenses act like a convolutional filter from deep neural networks, allowing the artists to superimpose kinetic happening within static graphic compositions.
